New Patients and Initial Visit
Your health is important to us. When you arrive for your initial visit, a thorough health history will be taken. The history questions will include but are not limited to family history, occupational history, past medical history, as well as dietary and exercise habits and goals. We want to better understand your overall health to avoid any barriers to providing optimal care for you.
After the history taking portion is completed, a physical exam will be conducted which may include X-rays, Lab test, orthopedic tests, and neurologic tests. This is a vital part of the visit to better understand the extent and root cause of your pain as well as your overall health status.
Once we have identified the problem, treatment will be administered accordingly. A chiropractic adjustment will be used as needed along with other soft tissue modalities to aid with the recovery process. The term adjustment refers to the action of manipulating specific joints in the body that may cause movement restrictions. Rehabilitative home exercises will be prescribed to the patient, personalized to their needs. Rehabilitation exercises are meant to aid the patient in recovery by strengthening muscles that may be causing pain.
Your time is important to us. The whole process of the initial visit will take between 40 minutes to an hour. We want to give enough time for the doctor to do a thorough check and treat the patient but more importantly for our doctor to address any questions and concerns the patient may have.
Covid - 19 Safety Protocol
You and your family are important to us, therefore we have implemented some safety protocols against Covid-19. For the safety of all patients, doctors, and all other professionals in the building, we ask that all patients wear a mask to their appointments. There will be hand sanitizer available as well as anti-viral/bacterial wipes. Please show up for your appointment as scheduled to allow the doctor adequate time to sanitize all equipment and surfaces beforehand.
